It is third highest selling scooter in the 125cc segment as it offers all the essentials that is a must in a practical family scooter. The sales figures suggest the Destini 125 finds about over ten thousand home every month. It is well behind the Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Ntorq 125 which are its main rivals.

It is available in many colour options – Nexus Blue, Matte Black, Pearl Silver White, Nobel Red, Panther Black, Chestnut Brown and Matte Ray Silver.

Hero updated the Destini 125 with semi-digital instrument panel and programmed fuel injection system with Xsens technology. Apart from these features there is nothing extra that comes with the Destini 125 in the BS6 upgrade.

TVS Jupiter 125

Jupiter 125 enhances the brand presence in the 125cc commuter segment as company has a sporty scooter Ntorq 125 in the premium segment. It is a new benchmark of the practicality and convenience in the scooter space which is possible because of various innovations and unique craftsmanship. There are four colours on this scooty – Dawn Orange, IndiBlue, Titanium Grey and White.

TVS Jupiter 125 is equipped with an air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, 2-valve SOHC, four-stroke engine that displaces 124.8cc. This motor is able to make 8.04 bhp of maximum power at 6500 rpm and 10.5 Nm torque at 4500 rpm. The power figure might not look so great and imposing, but 10.5 Nm torque is the highest torque available on any 125cc commuter scooter.

TVS Jupiter 125

With peak twisting force available at just 4500 rpm, the initial acceleration offered by the Jupiter 125 will be far stronger than any other commuter scooter in the 125cc segment. The Storm 125 is the most affordable Aprilia scooter available in India. Unlike its elder siblings in the SR series Storm is fitted with a more relaxed riding dynamics and comes with softer suspension setup. Being a product from Aprilia, the scooter is priced slightly on the higher side when compared to the competition. However, the Storm 125 is a more fun-to-ride peppy scooter from Aprilia while can bring a smile on your face every time you ride it.

Aprilia Storm has its twin-halogen-lamp headlight cluster placed on the front apron with turn indicators embedded on the cowling of the handler. The body of the Storm is a direct lift from the SR 125 with changes made to the graphics and the sure of different colour tones. Vespa VXL 125

The scooter gets largest fuel tank of 7.4 litres capacity with a range of more than 330 km if you are able to extract a mileage of 45 km per litre. The kerb weight of the Vespa VXL 125 stands at 114 kg and is on par with the competition.

Vespa scooters are sold for their premium quotient and not for the features they offer. The monocoque chassis and premium components is what you are paying for.

Aprilia SXR 125 is the latest scooter from the Italian brand and it is younger sibling to the SXR 160 flagship scooter. The SXR 125 rivals directly with the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 as both these scooters come under 125cc premium scooter segment.

With a price tag of Rs 1.31 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi, the SXR 125 counted among the most expensive 125cc scooter in the country but offered modest specifications and features list. This price tag on the maxi scooter is clearly on a slightly higher side among the others in this segment but the fact that it comes from a premium sport-centric manufacturer, the price can be justifiable by some fanboys. It is available in Red, Black, Blue and White colours for you to choose from.

Aprilia SXR 125

Starting with the design, the SXR 125 utilises Aprilia’s global design language along with various number of modern and practical features. The company has carefully positioned its all-new offering and expects good sales number in the coming months. The paint job and the striking graphics are one which makes it stand apart from the crowded 125cc scooter segment.

The Aprilia SXR 125 is equipped with Aprilia’s signature three segment headlight assembly which can be spotted on the litre-class superbikes form the Italian brand. This headlight cluster is full LED and has LED DRLs as well for premium appeal. The high beam is located in the centre with low beams are on either side along with the DRLs which are integrated with the front turn indicators. The taillight and rear turn indicators are also stylish LED units providing enhanced road presence from every angle.

Being a full-fledged premium, touring-friendly scooter, the SXR 125 is equipped with important elements including a large windshield at the front providing adequate wind-blast protection at higher speeds on the highway. There is a touring-friendly CVT automatic transmission connected to the motor that provides a good pull from standstill to the top speed.

Speaking about the performance, the SXR 125 is sufficiently quick till 60 kmph after which the power began to trail and scooter still manages to touch a top speed of over 90 kmph on a long straight. The acceleration is firm and stays with the rider all the way to around 70 kmph. The cruising speed is pegged between 65 to 70 kmph where the engine feels less strained and composed.
